United By A Common Goal
As Sheriff, I want accountability for myself as well as the department.
I want a Citizens Advisory Board put in place to ensure that ALL members of the Sheriff's Department are behaving in the manner that always puts the needs and safety of our county first.
As the next Constitutional Sheriff, I will hold local, state and federal politicians accountable for violating any rights of the citizens of Volusia County.
As our county is doing a tax rollback this year, the current Sheriff is asking for an INCREASE in his budget! Where does he believe these funds will originate? YOUR POCKET!!
I respect the working man/woman's wallet. And will continue to do so.
Yes, I am a blue-collar working man. I know what its like to live paycheck to paycheck and no department has a right to take your leftover money for frivolous causes.
We were able to raise half of the money, over $12,500, that was required in order to get my name on the ballot. In order to acquire the rest of the funds needed, my wife and I decided to sell my own personal motorcycle.
My neck, our family's funds, and my reputation are IN THIS RACE!
I wouldn't risk all of this if I didn't think that I could make a HUGE change for the residents of our beautiful county.
Honesty & Transparency
The outpour of support has been overwhelming since a libelous flier was mailed out about me. I would like to clear things up. I believe that honesty and transparency should always be expected from those placed in an elected position and I intend to do just that.
Have I ever been arrested? Yes.
It's estimated that nearly one-third of Americans have been arrested by age 23 and that nearly one third of adult Americans have a criminal record (this includes felony arrests with or without conviction).
Being arrested for a crime does NOT
mean that I was convicted.
My arrests were from over 15 years ago.
I have made mistakes (as we all have),
and I have paid my dues for them.
Have I ever been to prison? No.
Have I ever been on probation? Yes.
At the end of 2021, it was estimated that one in 69 U.S. residents were CURRENTLY on probation or parole!
And that's the lowest its been in 36 years.
Have I ever had financial problems in my life? Yes.
What American hasn't? We all know that life has its ups and down but you keep fighting by working hard and you get back on track! But, LET ME BE CLEAR, I have NEVER defaulted on a business loan as they fraudulently stated.
I do not have law enforcement experience. True.
We already have a department with a lot of great deputies. I am NOT running to take over their job. As Sheriff, I will ensure the department is made up of exceptional deputies who protect Volusia County WHILE respecting the Constitutional rights and freedoms of the residents.
Not all great leaders had previous experience in their field.
Some started as hard working business owners.
I am NOT a politician. True.
I am proud of this fact. I am an HONEST and hardworking man. I have spent my life working day in and day out to provide for and protect my family.
Yes, in the past, I have fought men and men have fought back.
I would gladly do it again to protect my family, my own personal freedoms and/or the individual rights of other innocent citizens.
I have NEVER nor would I EVER hurt a woman or a child.
